The initial design of this filter was targeted at aqueous-based applications and the housing is made from polycarbonate.
Units with the housing manufactured from polypropylenen are now available and are suitable for a wider range of solvents.
The currently avaliable models of the Disposable Rotary Drum Filter are constructed from the following materials
| Housing and inner rotating drum: | Clear Polycarbonate or Opaque Polypropylene |
| Filter Media: | Porous plastic, Ultra-high Molecular Weight Polyethylene |
| Vacuum and Shaft Seals: | Carboxylated Nitrile and Buna-N |
